Forest Wild Flower

Near where I live there is a old juniper tree that is one of the oldest around, something like 3000 years old. Anyway, the trail to that tree goes through many different zones of growth. Everything from desert growth to moist pine forest. This pretty plant and flower caught my eye in a dark pine stand. I liked the example of the natural way of things where debry from the above pines falls to earth only to break down forming food and habitat for other life forms. All levels of this natural occurrence can be seen in this image. The bright green leaves and delicate flower wouldn't let me go without a few borrowed images.
